Should You Put Your Suitcase on the Bed Runner?
It can provide some protection, but the luggage rack is still the better option.
If you need to open your suitcase on the bed, placing it over the runner is preferable to putting it directly on a clean white duvet.
Even better, use the luggage rack when one is provided.
Your suitcase has been in plenty of places you probably wouldn’t want on your bedding.
Should You Remove the Bed Runner Before Sleeping?
Yes, if you find it uncomfortable.
The runner isn’t normally intended to be part of the sleeping arrangement. You can fold it and place it on a chair or at the foot of the bed.
Or, if you prefer, simply move it aside.
There is no special hotel etiquette that requires you to leave it in place while sleeping.
Can You Take the Bed Runner Home?
